  1. British Army Vegetarian 24hr Ration Box

    £12.50

Contains enough for a 24hr survival expedition, although lasts more like 48 hours. Calorific content for each pack is around 5000 calories. Has breakfast, lunch and din dins.

Has vacuum sealed food which has a long shelf life. All packs contain food still edible. Contains coffees, teas, sugars, biscuits, wee bits and pieces.

Please note that menus are approximate and may contain alternative menus to what is listed. We can only apologise about this but the menus are always changing and some are mixed in with others. It is impossible to list each one exactly as there is no possible way to discern without opening each and everyone up. This is too consuming for the price you are paying for these boxes. It is probably a morale thing for the soldiers so that they don’t get bored of the same meals. They have to eat these things for weeks at a time, so do appreciate.

Enjoy, they are all still tasty!

  6. Mil-Tec Brass Meths Burner

    £3.95

Load this using alcohol or methylated spirits, light the spirits up and start cooking. You can use any metal, steel or aluminium pot, tin whatever to cook your food with and it works indoors too.

Probably the easiest and simplest way of cooking right after making a fire out of wood. All you need is the fuel and some kind of mess tin or whatever dish you are going to use. Any alcohol fuel will do as long as it burns - if you’re in the U.K you can pick up a bottle of methylated spirits (purple one) for around £3 from ASDA or TESCO.

Once again, the working of this one is very simple - pour in the fuel, light it and put the cooking ware over the burner - not directly on top of it, you need something to hold the ware. The burner will get hot, but not hot enough to burn anything you put it on. Still, it's best to use this thing over stuff that does not ignite and have care setting your cooking thing over it.

The burner will also work inside on fondue pots and other stuff, just be sure not to place it directly over any painted surfaces.

    Features:

    • Screw lid to end flame
    • Rubber inside lid to prevent fuel leaking
    • Made from high quality and resilient brass
    • Ideal emergency cooker, will never fail
    • Small compact design
    • Does not come with stand, pictured - this is for illustration purposes

  9. Swedish Army Trangia Cooking Stove With Burner

    £19.50

The combination of an aluminum mess Tin and brass meths burner alcohol stove. A cooking stove that is basically indestructible, affordable and very effective. The mess tin included is a new production, from Mil-Tec, the rest is all genuine Swedish army surplus including the burner.

    What’s included:

    • The black mess tin holder by Mil-Tec
    • Aluminum Swedish style mess tin by Mil-Tec.
    • Original Swedish brass meths burner
    • Original Swedish plastic alcohol holder bottle

The burner and bottle fit into the mess tin, which then fits into the black mess tin holder. Cooking is very simple and quick to set up.

    • Take the silver mess Tin out from the black holder
    • Inside the holder, there are two metal bars which provide a stand for your mess tin. Open these so that when you put the mess tin back in the holder the tin will not go all the way down.
    • Get your brass burner from inside the mess tin, unscrew the lid, pour in some fuels, place it on the bottom of the housing (under the wire thingies) and light by holding a burning match/lighter over it.
    • Put what you want to cook inside the mess tin and slide it into the holder above the brass burner on top of the metal bars. The metal bars should be above the burner, with the burner siting underneath.
    • It will make sense if you had the product in your hands.

    Other information:

    • If you are in the U.K you can pick up a bottle of methlyated spirits from Tesco or ASDA for £3, it’s a purple bottle and in the motoring/diy section.
    • No fuel is included in the price but a small, empty plastic bottle that carrys your fuel is included.
    • Burner cup and fuel bottles are intended for transport in a mess Tin. It is a good idea to put them in a small clear plastic bag before putting it into the Tin. The taste of alcohol or fuel may get into the taste of the food and is a nuisance to clean out.
    • Always use the lid when cooking the stuff. Doing so cooks food much faster and keeps you from looking like a daftie when you ask the question, “Why’s it taking so long?”
    • Wire handle has a small notch at the top to facilitate hanging kit mess over a campfire, if you have a campfire and don’t need the burner
